The 27-year old virtuoso pianist, Aleksander Dębicz, demonstrates his prodigious musical gifts on his Cinematic Piano CD that is now in wide release. Dębicz explores various genres of film music and combines them with jazz-inspired improvisational approach and the classical piano tradition to truly astounding effect. As he says himself, all musical genres are important and juggling them around comes very naturally.
The CD features 12 compositions by Dębicz, who also comes across as a talented composer. Born in Wrocław, he graduated from the Chopin Music University in Warsaw, where he studied with prof. Elżbieta Tarnawska. Some of the track titles include “A Letter to Mr. Desplat” and “A Letter to Mr. Newman” as well as “Noir,” “The Temple,” “The Thief in Persia,” and “Find Your Neverland.” Recorded at Alvernia Studios by Andrzej Sasin and Aleksandra Nagórko, the album is released by Warner Classics.
