The Polish and Taiwanese-Canadian duo of Barbara Misiewicz (cello) Grace Mo (piano) will perform on August 18 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Entitled “C H O cello P I N,” their program includes Chopin’s cello sonata – ‘meditative, introspective and profoundly original’ (Jim Samson), together with Debussy’s cello sonata – a programmatic masterpiece, evoking old Italian theatre, as well as one of Chopin’s earliest published pieces: the exquisite Introduction and Polonaise Brillante, Op.3.

These internationally acclaimed musicians bring their technical wizardry and impressive attention to detail to this concert at the request of The Chopin Circle in Scotland, which promotes continuing the appreciation of Fryderyk Chopin, his music and his influence on subsequent composers.
