Award-winning composer and vocalist Agata Zubel will be featured at the FERUS Festival in New York City. Presented by VisionIntoArt (VIA), a multimedia production company with a belief that collaboration sustains artistic innovation that facilitates “flamboyant, confounding, and enticing collaborations” (New York Times), the festival presents some of today’s most exciting creators of music and theater during a two-day extravaganza of new music, theatre, sound and visual worlds. Zubel performed with Hafez Modirzadeh (composer/ alto saxophone) and Jeffrey Zeigler (cello) and presented the New York premiere of her composition Parlando for voice and electronics.
The 2015 Ferus Festival is supported in part by the New Music USA Cary’s New Music Performance Fund and by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in Partnership with the City Council.
