On April 28, the prestigious Piano Spheres continues its new Satellite Series of emerging pianists with pianist Nic Gerpe, Los Angeles-based concerto soloist and chamber musician who has performed throughout U.S and international festivals. On his program “Ces Espaces Infinis,” Gerpe will perform Karol Szymanowski’s Métopes, Op. 29: L’île des Sirènes, Calypso, Nausicaa, as well as works by Alexina Louie, Juhi Bansai and George Crumb. The concert will take place in the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT), an interdisciplinary contemporary arts center for innovative visual, performing and media arts located in downtown Los Angeles inside the Walt Disney Concert Hall complex.
