The Second Accordion Festival was held September 25-29 in Kraków, featuring artists from Poland, the Ukraine, Slovakia and Norway. Besides a number of concerts, a variety of master classes and exhibits for young accordion players were held. The Festival also featured a competition for a brief video ad promoting accordion music as well as a competition for a documentary short film on art.

This unusual Festival celebrates the accordion, an instrument that permeates all styles and genres of music, from classical and jazz to funk, folk and retro. The Festival venues included the Żeleński Secondary Music School, Alchemia Club, and Wrzos Cinema in Kraków, as well as various Protestant, Catholic and Greek Catholic churches in the old Polish capital. Some of the Festival concerts were also held in the historic City Hall in a charming town of Nowy Sącz, south of Kraków.
