The Enter Music Festival (June 17-18, 2014) promotes individual research in music and presents a panorama of musical energy oscillating around jazz stylistics and sounding good in the open air. For this Festival, Artistic Director Leszek Możdżer invites artists he has already met on the world’s music scene or those he would like to hear live himself, both those who are famous and the fresh ones. He often performs with them in his own projects.
The festival is a mixture of unpretentiousness, independence and freedom, resulting from the atmosphere of an open-air event with the exclusiveness caused by a limited number of spectators as well as the list of performing artists that always guarantees the highest level of musical experiences.
According to the external service of Polish Radio:
Some of the hottest names in the jazz world have descended on Poznan for the fourth edition of the Enter Music Festival. Co-organised by acclaimed Polish jazz pianist Leszek Mozdzer, the open-air festival is hosted on the banks of the Strzeszyn Lake. The opening day of the festival saw Brooklyn-based combo the Shai Maestro Trio take the stage, followed by host Mozdzer. Thursday will see performances by Israel’s the 3 Cohens Sextet and Marius Neset & Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. Modzder is most famed for his experimental variations on Chopin’s music, and he has joined forces in the past with such diverse musicians as Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour and Texan jazz saxophonist Billy Harper.
