Górecki. Skrywany wulkan is a record of talks that Aleksander Laskowski carried out with renowned conductors regarding the person and work of one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century. Do the answers from the speakers confirm the existing beliefs about Lutosławski’s peaceful and quiet personality? Maybe they will reveal a previously unknown side of the composer’s personality …? Certainly they bring interesting new views about at his work, as perceived from the angle of the baton and the score.
The talks are sprinkled with photographs, and the book is introduced with an essay authored by Julia Hartwig.
