Pianist Julia Samojlo will make her debut at Carnegie Hall as she collaborates with cellist Karolina Jaroszewska. The cello-piano duo will perform Chopin’s Polonaise brillante in C Major, Op. 3 and various classical pieces by polish composers, like Penderecki, Franck and Ysaye. Samojlo has worked closely with The Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and The Polish Composers Union, and was twice awarded an Artist Fellowship by the Guildhall School of Music and Drama . Jaroszewska, a graduate of The Juilliard School, is represented by the Ludwig van Beethoven Association of E. Penderecka and has performed with the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra since 2005.

Chopin will also be featured when two rising young piano stars—Zoltán Fejérvári and Kuok-Wai Lio—take to the Weill Recital Hall stage to showcase their solo skills and also partner in music for two pianos. Their program will begin with Chopin’s Mazurkas, Op. 24 and his Fantasy in F Minor, Op. 49. The Mazurkas are melodically rich and rooted in the folk traditions of his native Poland, while the Fantasy in F Minor boldly explores innovative harmonies. The program also includes works by Schumann and Mozart.
