The ballets Song of the Earth by Roman Palester and On the Billet by Stanisław Moniuszko were presented on 25-26 January at the Opera in the Castle in Szczecin as part of “The Evening of Polish Ballets“.

The choreography for Song of the Earth is the work of Italian artist Paolo Mangioli, director of the national ballet in Malta, who reinterpreted the masterly orchestrated and extremely energetic score of Roman Palester through the prism of universal values. The choreography for On the Billet was prepared by Rafał Bondara—one of the best choreographers in Poland, appreciated for his modern interpretations of Polish historical works. Ballets with his choreography have been staged at the Grand Theatre – National Opera (Świtezianka by Eugeniusz Morawski) and at the Grand Theatre in Poznań (The Baltic Legend by Feliks Nowowiejski).

The performance was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund under the “Moniuszko 2019 – Promesa” program implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance. “The Evening of Polish Ballets” was held under the patronage of the PWM Edition as part of the TUTTI.pl project for promoting the performances of Polish music.
