The PMC had a surprise and welcome visitor in December. Thanks to continued support from the National Archives in Warsaw, archivist and Paderewski specialist Robert Górski was able to return to Los Angeles to continue his work on our Paderewski Archive: the Paso Robles Collection. During his two-week stay, Dr. Górski continued the process of arranging and describing the photographs in this Collection, and trained PMC employees how to scan photos correctly with the best settings and resolutions. With this knowledge, he and members of the PMC staff scanned 661 photographs in very high resolution, as well as the written information from the back of photographs, such as dates, names or photographic processing companies. This information will be the basis of a digital photo archive, which eventually will be made available online for scholars around the world.
