A special symphonic concert dedicated to Mieczysław Karłowicz will be held on January 10 at the Philharmonic in Szczecin. The concert will promote the Szczecin Philharmonic’s recent album release “Karłowicz. Filharmonia. Szczecin,” featuring Karłowicz’s Violin Concerto, Op. 8 and A Sad Story, Op. 13, recorded by Szczecin-born violinist Bartłomiej Nizioł and Łukasz Borowicz. Furthermore, the event will conclude the series of artistic events paying homage to the 140th anniversary birth of the Philharmonic’s patron. The program will consist of Karłowicz’s Lithuanian rhapsody, Op. 11 and Violin Concerto in A major, Op. 8 performed by the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and Nizioł under the baton of Kaspar Zehnder.
