After 10 years of working together, the Kwadrofonik Ensemble—comprised of pianists Emilia Sitarz and Bartłomiej Wąsik and percussionists Magdalena Kordylasińska and Miłosz Pękala—is organizing the first edition of the Kwadrofonik Festival. Held from September 4 – 6, 2015 in various studios of Polish Radio in Warsaw, this contemporary chamber music marathon will present works created by the most interesting international composers, directors and video artists of Generation X and Y, including: Simon Steen-Andersen, Michael Beil, Wojciech Blecharz, Laurence Crane, Vladimir Gorlinsky, Aleksandra Gryka, Georg Friedrich Haas, Ole Hübner, Andrzej Kwieciński, György Ligeti, Sergej Maingardt, Brigitta Muntendorf, Oxana Omelchuk, Matthew Shlomowitz, Tomasz Sikorski, Marcin Stańczyk, Øyvind Torvund, Sławomir Wojciechowski, Wojciech Ziemowit Zych. In addition to concerts, the festival also includes workshops for children as well as open conversations with musicians and journalists.

Special guest performers are Garage Ensemble from Germany and Asamisimasa from Norway, two internationally renowned champions of avant-garde music who will both perform in Poland for the first time. Also performing are the Lutosławski Piano Duo, vocalist Barbara Kinga Majewska, and Pękala/Kordylasińska/Pękala.
