Polish-American composer Mikolaj Stroinski, who created the score for the game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, has been nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition at the 18th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. The D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, Feb. 5 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas at the end of the 2015 D.I.C.E. Summit; it will live stream in its entirety beginning 7pm PT/10pm ET via Twitch at twitch.tv/dice.

Hosted by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the Annual D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Awards is the video game industry’s premier peer-based awards show and honors the year’s finest achievements in the industry. The 2014 leaders are Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor with nine nominations, including Game of the Year. Rounding out the Game of the Year nominations include: DestinyDragon Age: InquisitionFar Cry 4 and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. “The Vanishing of Ethan Carter” also earned Stroinski three nominations at the 2014 Annual Game Music Awards: Best Score – Cinematic/Orchestral, Outstanding Contribution – Newcomer, and Outstanding Achievement – Vocal Theme.
