Celebrated for his lyrical-dramatic interpretations, unique, personal style and consummate artistry, Polish pianist and pedagogue Konrad Skolarski presents a recital to celebrate Poland’s Independence Day. The program will feature works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt. The concert is presented in partnership with the Polish Cultural Institute New York.

The Kosciuszko Foundation presents a Kosciuszko Gala Concert on Sunday, November 19 at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. The Concert is sponsored by the Kosciuszko Foundation and is part of the events celebrating the bicentennial of the passing of Gen. Tadeusz Kosciuszko. The concert will feature works by most prominent Polish composers including the New York premiere of Polonaise Metamorphoses on the theme by Tadeusz Kosciuszko for violin, viola and string orchestra by R. Twardowski and the world premiere of Kosciuszko Polonaise by John Sarkissian. Performers include Edyta Kulczak – mezzo-soprano, Marian Sobula – piano, Mariusz Monczak – violin, and the Kościuszko Festival Orchestra with Bartosz Żurakowski, conductor.

The event is organized by Ars Activa Foundation and is held under the honorary patronage of Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Minister of Culture and National Heritage Piotr Gliński.
